B. Departure time and schedule from the capital Vientiane, Laos to the capital Hanoi, Vietnam
1. Pick up location: Southern bus station in Vientiane, Laos.
2. Pick up time: 4.30pm – 5.00pm
3. Bus license plate and bus parking location will be provided when customers book bus tickets.
4. Ticket price: 800,000 Kip/ 1 person (pay to bus driver upon pick up)
5. Bus type: Single bed with toilet (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) or VIP cabin but without toilet (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday)
6. Bus departure time: 5.45pm – 6.00pm day 1
7. The bus arrives at Cau Treo border gate at 4.00am - 5.00am on day 2 - Everyone still sleeps on the bus until 7.00am then prepares to check out Laos and check in Vietnam.
8. Visa to enter Vietnam.
- For nationalities with free entry to Vietnam, you can enter the country easily (check-in time is about 1 hour)
- For nationalities that are not visa free, an evisa is required to enter Vietnam. Evisa needs to be applied for 1 week in advance on the official website of the Vietnam Immigration Department to ensure you will receive the evisa soon. (It takes about 4-5 working days to receive Vietnam evisa, excluding Saturdays and Sundays)
9. The bus arrivals in Hanoi capital, Vietnam is about 5.00pm - 6.00pm on day 10. The bus stops at Nuoc Ngam bus station
11. On the way, the bus stops at Vietnamese/Laotian restaurants for guests to have dinner and lunch ( Not included).
12. You can not use wifi on almost all buses from Vientiane to Hanoi
13. You can buy a Lao Sim or exchange money at Cau Treo border gate.

+ Bus ticket: 800,000 Kip/ 1 person.

C. Fees at the border?
You need to pay attention to the mandatory fees at the border gate to avoid wasting a lot of time: Exiting Laos, you will have to pay a fee of about 1 USD + Entering Vietnam, you will also have to pay a fee of 1 USD. The total amount you need is at least 2 USD = 50,000 Kip / VND
